REQUIREMENTS:
You need to have Java installed on your computer for the simulator to run.
EDITING THE COUNTRY FILE:
If you wish to add a country, add it to the bottom of the Countries.csv file. You will also need to put in the country's flag, a teams file called <Country Name>.csv and a league file called <Country Name>_Leagues.csv
The following columns represent the following data for the GSS country files:
Column 1:Country Name
Column 2:Confederation of Country
Column 3:Strength of the Country's League System
Column 4:Country Adjective
Column 5:Auto-select League in Select Leagues section?
Column 6: Create Custom Cups?
EDITING A TEAMS FILE:
The following columns represent the following data for the GSS team files:
Column 1:Team Name
Column 2:Team Strength (relative to other clubs in the division!)
Column 3:Latitude of City or Stadium
Column 4:Longitude of City or Stadium
Column 5:Is the team a reserve team? (TRUE or FALSE)
Column 6:Region where the club is located
EDITING A LEAGUES FILE:
The following columns represent the following data for the GSS league files:
Column 1:League Name
Column 2:League Strength (relative to other leagues in the country!)
Column 3:Total Number of Teams at this Level (between 8-30; must be divisible by 2!)
Column 4:Number of Teams Promoted from this level
Column 5:Number of Teams Relegated from this level
Column 6:Are there subdivisions at this level? (TRUE or FALSE)
If there are subdivisions at a particular level, a seperate file containing the subdivisions will need to be created, at <Country Name><Level of League System>_Subdivisions.csv
ADDING/EDITING A LEAGUE SUBDIVISIONS FILE:
The following columns represent the following data for the GSS league subdivision files:
Column 1:League Subdivision Name
Column 2:League Subdivision Strength (relative to other leagues in the country!)
Column 3:Total Number of Teams in this subdivision (between 8-30; must be divisible by 2!)
Column 4:Number of Teams Promoted from this subdivision
(NB: The sum of column 4 must equal the total number of teams promoted from the parent competition as specified in the leagues file!)
Column 5:Number of Teams Relegated from this subdivision
(NB: The sum of column 5 must equal the total number of teams relegated from the parent competition as specified in the leagues file!)
Column 6:Are the boundaries determined by co-ordinate data or by region? (Co-ordinate or Region)
If using co-ordinate data, you will need to input both the desired compass direction and the number of teams from that direction taken (e.g. to take the 22 northernmost clubs, input North into column 7 and 22 into column 8)
To use more than one direction simply keep going across in this fashion until you have the desired set-up (e.g. to set up a South-West division of 18 clubs, input South into column 7, 36 into column 8, West into column 9 and 18 into column 10)
If using region data, simply put the region to be selected into column 7 (NB:For this to work, all clubs in the relevant team file must be allocated to a particular region, and there must be an even number of clubs form that region at that level for it to work.
HELP:
If you have any further questions about using the simulator, you can post here in the Troubleshooting board. Also, we are always looking for people to help with the project, so let us know in the forum if you would like to contribute.
CREDITS:
Many thanks to emirates, whose country updates have allowed much faster progress with the project and have enhanced the realism of the game world.
